The Alaska Rainbow Lodge Rod & Reel Promotion May 19th, 2012
A message from Ron Hayes:
The Alaska Rainbow Lodge Rod & Reel Promotion
In a few weeks, we will draw one name to win a new Sage TCX 6 wt. rod and a matching Hatch or Abel reel. If you win, we’ll call to ask you which reel you want and to arrange shipping. If you haven’t entered yet, you better do it now. You should also send this link to someone you know who could use a brand new rod and reel.
This 6 wt. rod is the perfect rod for those monster Rainbows we catch all summer at our lodge. When we target Salmon, we move to an 8 wt., but for big Rainbows and Arctic Char, you can’t beat this 6 wt.
We really look forward to fishing and guiding you this summer at the Alaska Rainbow Lodge. We’re ready for this season to start! Let me know if I can help in any way. Just give me a call.
See you in a few months!

My brother and I have fished with Ron four times. Each time was diffeent — every one was memorable. Ron may not want to hear this story — but –it carries a great message.
Bob and I fished for Shee fish on two of our trips. It was a long flight and required good planning just to get there and back. We had to have have extra gas to make it back to the lodge.
Our guide topped the tanks before we started back. When we had flown about 10 minutes, we saw a plume of vapor from the left wing. The cap had been left off and gas was being sucked out of the tank. It took only 10 minues to empty the tank.
Because of great planning, and Ron’s stashes of fuel literally everywhere, we were able to land on the Nushigak and add enough gas to get back to the lodge.
The moral of the story is that lodge guests can be sure that every effort is made to see that they have a safe stay. I know of no other guide service or lodge that comes close to the efforts that Ron and his staff take to keep guests safe.

send the fishing pole down here to Idaho, but wait a minute, I can come up next summer and pick it up and use it at the Lodge. I think, I can. Mel
