Where to Find the Fishing Lodge
- Alaska Rainbow Lodge is located on the famous Kvichak (kwee – jack) river 230 miles S.W. of Anchorage, Alaska. [Click here for the exact location of our Alaska Fly Fishing Lodge]
- 30 miles N.W. of King Salmon, Alaska.
- We are 18 air miles down the Kvichak river from the majestic Iliamna Lake – the largest lake in Alaska.
- Alaska Rainbow Lodge is located in the heart of Bristol Bay.
- Our lodge has the best of two worlds: 1st: the Kvichak, our home river, has the largest salmon run in the world, and consistently produces the largest Alaska Rainbow Trout; 2nd: we are only 15-25 minutes flight time away from ALL the premier Alaska Rainbow Trout streams in the Bristol Bay region. We hand-picked our location for the best Alaska Fly Fishing.
- We are located in the ONLY designated Trophy Rainbow Trout area in all of Alaska.
- We are 20 minutes by float plane from the famous Katmai National Park and Preserve – the land of steaming volcanoes, turquoise lakes, glistening glaciers and the valley of 10,000 smokes! Flightseeing and photo-outings to this natural wonderland are part of our Alaska Fishing Trips. More information on the Katmai National Park can be found through the National Park Service website.
